Roberto Alonso Jr. graduated from the College of Staten
Island in New York with a BA in Psychology, after playing two years of proball. Roberto carries 24 years of coaching
experience starting back in New York.
He arrived in Palm Beach County in 1992. In 1995, he became Head Coach for the American Legend Post
47 Team, where he produced 5 District Championships, 3 Southern Area
Championships and 3 State Appearances.
He has assisted in placing over 100 baseball players in college and has
over 10 players in professional baseball.
He started his collegiate baseball career in 1981 and was a CUNY
championship pitcher. He was
selected to the first team all CUNY and Knick Conference All Star Team. He also
played two years in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League.
Alonso currently coaches at Deerfield Beach High School and
has been for the past 9 years. He resides in Palm Beach
County with his wife and two sons.
Cody Loomis
Cody Loomis - Athletic Director Zion HS
Cody
Loomis graduated from Deerfield Beach HS and during his HS career won 3
District Championships as a player. Cody then attended FAU and
transferred to Garrett College in Maryland and led the team in Wins ,
ERA and K's. Cody Loomis has worked for th Pro Baseball Academy Camps ,
D-Ball summer Championship Team and the South Florida Baseball School.
Cody is presently the Pitching Coach and Athletic Director at Zion HS in

Nick Siano - Head Coach- West Boca HS
Nick Siano graduated from Olympic Heights HS and his senior year lead
his team to the regional final game. In 2003, Coach Siano redshirted at
Florida Atlantic University. In 2005 he transferred to
Indian River Community College where he started under the
junior college coach
with the best ever record in the state of Florida, Coach Mike Easom. In
2006, as a redshirt sophomore Coach Siano led the team with a .390
batting average. Coach Siano also played every summer in wood-bat
leagues throughout his college career. In 2005 and 2006 he played for
the Davidson Copperheads. In 2006, Coach Siano led the Copperheads with a
.328 batting average. He was named to the All Star team for the
Southern Collegiate Baseball League both summers. Coach Siano is
currently the
Head Hoach Nationally ranked West Boca High School.
Nathan Underwood - Asst. Coach- West Boca HSCoach Underwood came to West Boca High School after his 2 ½ years as an
assistant coach for Marian University, working with head coach Kurt
Guldner. At Marian, Underwood served as the hitting instructor, while
also working with the outfielders and corner defense. Nate also was in
charge of the offensive strategies and team base running. On game days,
he directed the offense from the 3rd base coaching box. He also did
scouting reports and defensive alignments on game day and directed the
baseball team with their strength and conditioning. Underwood was also
in charge of the Marian baseball fall program and maintained the
athletic complex for all of the Knights sports teams.
During
Underwood's 1st spring with the Knights, he saw the team batting average
- along with 8 other offensive categories improve from the 2008 season.
Most notably the team scored 68 more runs, recorded 89 more hits,
tacked on 35 more doubles and stole 40 more bases. The Knights saw their
overall record improve from by 11 wins in Underwood's first year with
the program. Marian also returned to the conference tournament for the
1st time since 2007, knocking off #1 seed and #27 ranked Spring Arbor in
the opening game of the tournament.
Before moving to
Indianapolis, he served as the head varsity coach at Waggener
Traditional High School in Louisville, Kentucky.
Prior to
Waggener, Nate was the assistant coach / recruiting coordinator for NCAA
Division II member Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. While at
Flagler, he directed the offense that batted well over .300 and improved
in 6 other offensive categories from the previous year, with 9 players
batting over .300. Defensively Nate worked with the outfielders and
corner infield. He also directed the Saints strength and conditioning
program. The Saints had 2 players drafted in the 2007 draft.
Before
his experience in Florida, Underwood was an assistant coach for NJCAA
member Kaskaskia College, in Centralia, Illinois. Nate directed the
hitters, who hit .344 as a team and worked with the corner infielders,
while also directing the Blue Devils strength and conditioning.
Kaskaskia finished 2nd in the well respected Great Rivers Athletic
Conference and tournament. The Blue Devils set many school records
during Underwood's tenure, including a record of 44 wins in a season.
Underwood coached 3 players at KC that were drafted in the Major League
Baseball draft.
While finishing up his degree at Purdue
University, Nate was named the head coach at Harrison High School in
West Lafayette, Indiana. While at Harrison he directed the Raiders and
2nd round draft pick Josh Lindblom who was selected by the Los Angeles
Dodgers. During the fall of 2003, Underwood was a volunteer assistant
for Purdue University, before being named the head coach at Harrison.

Broward County 6A High School 2010 Coach of the YearFrank Bumbales
Coach
Bumbales 2010 Broward County 6A/5A/4A High School Coach of the year is
from Lew Wallace HS in Gary, Indiana has been teaching and coaching in
the Broward County School system for 34 years. Coach Bumbales played
some semi-pro ball with the teams of the Black sox, Cardinals and
Dodgers.
Presently Coach Bumbales is the Head Baseball Coach at Coral
Springs HS and is his 19th year. He has a career mark of 283 wins, 4
regional appearances, sent 38 players to college on scholarship and has 3
players in Professional Baseball.
Mike Cimiluca- Asst. Coach
Coach
Cimilluca is a native of New Jersey, where is graduated from Morris
Catholic HS. He received a AA degree from manatee Community College and
played two years where he was a part of the team that was the National
Junior College runners -up in 1991. That same year he was honored as an
academic/Athletic All- American. After spending a year at Oaklahoma
Baptist University, he then moved on and received a B.S. in Banking and
Finance from the University of Central Florida. While at UCF, he
recorded a save in the TAAC Championship game, thus giving the Knights
an automatic NCAA regional bid. Coach Mike Cimilluca is in his 7th year
of coaching and 6th year with Coach Bumbales and Coach Federman at Coral
Springs HS. He started his coaching career at Morris Catholic HS in New
Jersey. Mike is married to Lisa Scarnato, they now reside in Coral
Springs and are the proud parents of both Michael (9) and Nicholas (5)

16U (white) Jose Piedra- Head Coach and Scott Baker Asst. Coach
With
over 10 years of High School, Middle School and Travel Baseball
experience. Jose's Teams have won High School District Titles as well as
Middle School South County Titles. Jose has worked with and placed over
15 players into Junior Colleges, Universities and Professional
Baseball. Jose played in the Big League World Series, and was a four
year letterman at Chaminade -Madonna Prep., under Coach Grossi and Paul
Herfurth. Jose attended BCC for 2 yrs and played baseball under Coach
Mike Hutch and Chris Tidwell
Asst Coach Scott Baker
1981-1984- 4 yr. Varsity Player for Edward Little HS
2008-2010
Coached the North Broward Thunder from 12U-14U winning 4 Championships
along the way including invitation to thje State Championship in
Houston, Texas
2009- Asst. Coach for MHOC (Won the County Catholic Title)
2010- Head Coach for MHOC (Repeat victory for the county Catholic Title)
